Tier 1 Help Desk Technician

Insight Global is seeking a Tier 1 Help Desk Technician to provide day-to-day IT support for a growing workforce in San Jose, CA. This individual will be responsible for onboarding and offboarding employees, troubleshooting common hardware and software issues, managing user accounts, and supporting a primarily Mac-based environment. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, highly organized, and enjoys working directly with end u to quickly resolve technical issues. You will support approximately 150+ employees, with significant organizational growth planned, and will operate primarily through Jira Service Management, Slack, Google Workspace, Okta, and other collaboration tools. All members of the Help Desk team function as Tier 1 support, escalating more advanced technical issues to internal subject matter experts as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

1+ years of Help Desk, Desktop Support, IT Support, or Service Desk experience
Experience provisioning and deprovisioning user accounts
Experience performing password resets and access management tasks
Hands-on troubleshooting experience with computer hardware, software, and operating systems
Experience supporting MacOS environments
Experience working with ticketing systems (Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, Zendesk, Freshservice, etc.)
Experience supporting user accounts in Google Workspace


Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with Jira Service Management
Experience supporting Okta user administration and SSO
Exposure to Windows and Linux environments
Experience supporting Slack-based help desk workflows
Experience working in a fast-paced technology, engineering, aerospace, or manufacturing environment
Familiarity with Confluence documentation
