Associate - Material Movement I

Job Title: Associate - Material Movement I Shift: Friday - Sunday, 6pm - 6am Location: Merritt Island, FL 32953 Job Type: Contract Hours: 40/week Pay Rate: $24-25.60/hour (DOE) Responsibilities Implement continuous improvement by evaluating, monitoring, and escalating roadblocks that could lead to downstream defects. Support root cause analysis and provide problem‑solving insights. Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, PIT equipment, reach‑trucks, and turret‑trucks, maintaining an understanding of safety procedures and maintenance practices. Unload and inspect shipments, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures. Perform quality control checks on each part number according to established SOPs. Document receipts by uploading and storing data in the inventory management system to close out each work order. Enter and navigate inventory data directly from physical deliveries. Pack and wrap parts as required, preparing them for subsequent stages of manufacturing or fulfillment. Sort, stage, and secure packages, boxes, crates, and other storage containers to prevent loss. Label and mark parts with identifiers per the SOP to enable tracking through the workflow. Assign and audit storage locations, using good judgment and SOP guidelines. Minimum Qualifications At least 2 years of fulfillment center operations experience with receiving and inventory functions. Strong adherence to safety protocols, including PPE use, safe operating procedures, and participation in safety training. Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. Demonstrated world‑class quality mindset, attention to detail, and dedication. Effective communication skills in a technical environment. Mathematical and analytical skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material. Ability to build trust, maintain professional relationships, and support a culture of inclusion. Certified forklift experience.
