Description: Job Title: Associate - Material Movement I Shift A: M-Th, 6am - 4pm Location: Merritt Island, FL Zip Code: 32953 Job Type: Contract Hours - 40/week Pay Rate: $24- $25.60/hour (DOE) Job Summary Continuous improvement: evaluate, monitor, and elevate roadblocks that could cause downstream defects; support root cause analysis and problem‑solving. Proper use of equipment: possess fundamental knowledge in operating heavy equipment (pit equipment, forklifts, etc.) and understand safety procedures and maintenance practices. Operate any equipment required to move heavy parts/materials throughout the facilities, including electronic pallet jacks, forklifts, reach‑trucks, and turret‑trucks. Receive shipments: unload deliveries from carriers. Inspect shipments: visually examine packages arriving at the Fulfillment Center and determine acceptability according to SOP. Quality control checks: review requirements for each part number and process accordingly to the SOP. Documenting receipts: use tools and equipment to upload, store, and complete receipt or work order closures following SOP. Data entry: navigate inventory management tools to input data from physical deliveries, read relevant information, and complete required tasks. Packaging: determine required packaging for parts and properly wrap/store parts throughout workflow. Sorting and staging: move packages/boxes/crates into identified locations and secure them to prevent loss. Labeling and marking: ensure all parts are labeled with identifiers as outlined in the SOP. Storage assignment/auditing: store parts per SOP, audit parts individually or in bulk, and follow procedures. Minimum Qualifications 2+ years of Fulfillment Center Operations experience (receiving, inventory functions). Strict adherence to safety protocols, including PPE and regular safety training. Ability to lift 50 lbs. World‑class quality attitude, attention to detail, and dedication. Strong communication skills in a highly technical environment. Mathematical and analytical skills to define problems, gather data, and draw conclusions. Ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive relationships, and contribute to inclusion. Previous certified forklift experience. Preferred Qualifications Warehouse/Receiving/Inventory experience in aerospace or automotive industry.
