Our organization is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position as a GI Hospitalist within the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Position Overview

This full-time inpatient GI hospitalist role is based at our 603-bed facility, which serves as the sole tertiary care center in Suffolk County, Long Island. The position entails:

• 24 weeks of inpatient GI consultations (Monday to Friday only) each year.
• Minimal weekend and night coverage.
• Collaboration with a team that includes gastroenterology fellows and advanced practice providers.
• No outpatient responsibilities, promoting an ideal work-life balance.

Exceptional GI Team

Our GI Division takes pride in its highly skilled faculty, consisting of 12 GI specialists, 13 exceptional fellows, and a dedicated support team of proficient nurses, endoscopy technicians, and advanced practice providers.

State-of-the-Art Facilities

The medical center features a comprehensive hospital-based endoscopy unit with designated time for inpatient procedures, as well as an ambulatory care pavilion conveniently located on campus.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications

• MD or an equivalent foreign degree.
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Experience in clinical care and teaching.
• Proficiency in various endoscopic procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in providing gastroenterological care to hospitalized patients.
