Clinical Law Professor for AI Legal Evaluation

Role Overview
Evaluate AI-generated legal analyses in civil legal services, applying clinical teaching and supervisory experience to judge issue spotting, legal reasoning, and procedural analysis. The role focuses on improving AI performance through detailed assessments and structured feedback based on real-world clinic practice.
Key Responsibilities- Review AI-generated legal responses for accuracy and completeness.
- Evaluate issue spotting, legal reasoning, and procedural analysis in AI outputs.
- Assess scenarios in housing, family, consumer, and debt law.
- Provide structured, actionable feedback to help improve AI systems.
- Bring experience supervising law students and operating live-client clinics to inform evaluations.
Required
- Juris Doctor, JD.
- Current or previous admission to a U.S. bar.
- Experience directing or supervising a law school clinic.
- Expertise in one or more civil legal practice areas.
- Strong legal writing and evaluation skills.
Preferred
- Clinical Professor of Law or Clinic Director experience.
- Direct experience with housing, family, consumer, elder, or disability law clinics.
- Experience developing legal curriculum or assessment rubrics.
- Published scholarship or educational materials.
- Location: Remote.
- Engagement type: Hourly contract work.
- Expected commitment: Approximately 15 hours per week.
- Estimated project duration: 2 to 3 weeks.
- Hourly rate: $180 per hour.
- Candidates must hold a JD and have current or prior U.S. bar admission.
- Demonstrated experience directing or supervising a law school clinic is required.
