Project Buyer

What You Ll Do Our client is looking for a Project Buyer to join their Team! The Project Buyer will be responsible for the following: Procuring all purchased and intercompany parts required in the project during project development. Quoting and sourcing productive materials for the project to meet cost, quality and timing targets according to the product development process. Manage the RFI/RFQ process. Ensure competitive analysis of suppliers. Lead supplier selection according organizational instructions. Ensure contracts are executed in accordance to organizational instructions. Conduct negotiations about quantities, prices, delivery dates and conditions. Location: Raleigh, NC Type: Permanent Required Qualifications Four year Bachelor s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics Management, or Engineering. OR Two Year Associate Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of related experience. Five years of purchasing experience with mid to high volume manufacturing. Electro-mechanical products preferred. Knowledge of economic analysis methods (NPV, IRR, ROI). Familiarity with logistics and material requirements planning. Excellent negotiation skills. Superior SAP user skills. Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or TS 16949 quality systems requirements. PC skills, MS Office Strong analytical and reasoning abilities. Participative work style, ability to work in a team environment. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature. Ability to establish credibility and be decisive but also be able to recognize and support the organization s preferences and priorities. Satisfactory verbal and written communication skills. Results oriented with a high level of initiative. Well-developed interpersonal skills. Basic German language skills are preferred but not required.
