Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for Night Shift RN in Trauma Stepdown!

Job Description:


- Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
- Unit: 5S Trauma Stepdown (IMC/PCU)
- Nursing Ratios:
- Floor RN: 1:5
- Stepdown Unit: 1:3
- Patient Bed Configuration:
- 25 Floor Beds
- 6 Step-Down Beds
- 6 Pediatric Beds (Traveler not required to care for pediatric patients)
- Team Approach: Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional nursing care to multi-system-injured trauma and surgical patients.
- Unit Facilities: Six-bed intermediate care stepdown unit for patients needing an intermediate level of care.
- Orientation: Held every other Thursday; start dates available bi-weekly.
- Experience Requirements:
- 2 Years of RN Experience required
- 1 Year in specialty experience required
- 1st Time Travelers accepted if experienced in ICU/Trauma
- Skill Requirements:
- IV Start
- Vents Management
- Telemetry
- Conscious Sedation
- Level 1 Trauma Experience
- Certifications Required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- Fit Test
- CPI (can be completed with Qualivis)
- TNCC preferred
- Contract Options: Flexible 36 or 48-hour contract options available.
- Weekend Commitment: Every other weekend required.
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required.
- Flu Vaccine: Required, with medical exemptions only.
- License Information:
- WV or Compact RN License required; pending RN license can be submitted.
- 100-mile radius rule (75-99 miles may require facility approval).
- Submission Requirements:
- 1 PDF containing candidate profile, specialty skills checklist, 2 manager/charge references (last 2 years), RN license verification, driver's license, and SSN.
- Full submission due by Noon Monday prior to the start date.
