Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
• Current licensure or eligibility for School Psychologist certification in Connecticut
• Experience conducting psychological evaluations and developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with intervention strategies and Response to Intervention (RTI) models
• Compassionate approach to working with students from diverse backgrounds

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results to guide effective interventions
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop personalized support plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide data-driven recommendations to support student learning and emotional needs
• Deliver counseling services, crisis intervention, and behavior management strategies as required
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate through staff training and student outreach
• Keep thorough records and maintain compliance with all state and federal legislation related to special education
