Medical Receptionist
Advanced Physical Therapy, a trusted provider in the Metro Detroit area for over 30 years, is seeking a professional, friendly, and organized Medical Receptionist to join our patient-focused team. If you enjoy helping people, keeping a clinic running smoothly, and being the welcoming face patients rely on, this role is for you.
Job Description
- Greet patients warmly and deliver excellent customer service
- Manage patient scheduling from first visit through discharge
- Answer phones promptly and professionally
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate electronic medical records
- Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
- Collect, post, and process patient payments
- Handle incoming/outgoing correspondence (emails, faxes, etc.)
- Maintain a clean, organized reception area
- Support clinical staff with daily administrative needs
- Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA guidelines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in a medical front office setting
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA
- Excellent organization, accuracy, and multitasking ability
- Positive attitude and professional appearance
