CNC Operator Huntley, IL, US Job Description Experience Mid Level Salary $20 - $30 per hour Job Details Responsibilities Setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc. Translating instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function. Ensuring the CNC machines operate in accordance with the guidelines of the company. Checking and maintaining machinery daily to ensure functionality. Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models. Loading raw materials into the CNC machines. Inspecting and measuring finished products to ensure they meet requirements. Testing operation of machines periodically to guarantee their smooth running. Adhering to all safety and health regulations. Collaborating with finance and accounting teams to optimize machine output and streamline processes. Qualifications A minimum of 5 years' experience as a CNC Operator or similar role. Proficiency in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools. Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings. Computer savvy with a detailed understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM. Mechanical aptitude and good math skills. A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach. Excellent comprehension of the principles of finance and accounting and their application in a manufacturing setting. Good communication abilities, with the ability to work well in a team. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality output. Completion of a vocational training or apprenticeship in machining would be advantageous.
