Lead Medical Safety Physician

Corcept Therapeutics seeks a Lead Medical Safety Physician to direct medical safety oversight across the clinical and commercial portfolio. Reporting to the VP of Patient Safety & Pharmacovigilance, this physician will lead a team, conduct safety signal evaluation and benefit-risk assessments, and ensure medical integrity in safety decisions.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement medical safety strategy across the product portfolio
• Lead, build, and develop a team of Medical Safety Physicians
• Evaluate safety signals and conduct benefit-risk assessments in partnership with safety science
• Oversee medical input into regulatory submissions including DSURs and PADERs
• Partner with clinical development and medical affairs on safety integration across product lifecycle

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with valid licensure
• Significant experience in drug safety, pharmacovigilance, or clinical development
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing medical safety teams
• Strong expertise in benefit-risk assessment and regulatory safety submissions
• Experience with signal evaluation and post-marketing safety surveillance
