CNC Machine Operator

Job Purpose

Competitive starting pay range $25/hr, eligible quarterly production bonus $200-$500, and full benefits from day one.

Shift Options

• 1st shift: 4:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. (Pay $25/hr)
• 2nd shift: 4 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. (Pay $25/hr + $3 shift differential)
• Overtime available.

Responsibilities

• Read/interpret drawings and part specifications and verify/adjust speeds and feeds for optimum machining.
• Make necessary offset changes to stay within allowable tolerances.
• Change inserts.
• Verify conformance of part to specifications using measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, micrometers, and fixed gauges; fill out inspection reports as required.
• Clean machined parts to ensure ready for assembly.
• Report all tooling and setup issues to the supervisor.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe workplace.
• Punctual and act in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Education & Training

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of G&M codes.
• Experience with overhead crane movement of large material.
• 3–5 years CNC multi‑axis (boring mills/bridge mills) set up and operation experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CNC multi‑axis machine operator experience (preferred).
• Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to read and write legibly and complete production reports with accuracy.
• Must be able to read and use a tape measure.
• Strong attention to detail; ability to inspect rail using measuring devices.
• Must be quality oriented and a team player.
• Must have complete understanding of safe work practices.
