Job Description
TITLE: Registered Nurse - Operating Room

SCHEDULE: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS:
Contract Weeks: 13
Guaranteed Hours: 36.00

REQUIREMENTS:
- Current RN license in state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
- One year previous full-time experience in the operating room: Required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification: Preferred
- Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR): Preferred

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists and coordinate the flow of equipment, supplies, and staff during surgical procedures.
- Ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care.
- Participate in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment.
- Operate all equipment routinely utilized in the Operating Room safely.
- Prepare patients for surgery, including appropriate anatomical positioning.
- Document relevant information for patient care and meet established department criteria.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES:
- Position is represented by CNA.
- Efficiently utilize downtime for job-related tasks.
