Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.THIS IS ASSIGNMENT WILL BE BASED IN JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDAThe F135 MRO&U Depot Operations Manager in partnership with Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE), will oversee execution of disassembly, assembly, test and delivery of F135 engines and modules at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Florida. The Operations Manager works closely with the PW Site Leader and FRCSE to develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure production priorities are established and commitments are met. She/he will monitor operations aspects of productivity and process flow to meet F135 Program On-Time Delivery (OTD) and Turnaround-Time (TAT) requirements while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This role will collaborate with an on-site matrixed team of experienced professionals to assist in maintaining quality and consistency of service by documenting and identifying trends, working directly with the FRCSE to implement corrective action and establish appropriate improvement plans. The Operations Manager will also assist the Site Leader and FRCSE in the development of induction and production forecasts as well as future FDC activation requirements of the MRO&U.Key Responsibilities:Oversee Depot maintenance execution of engines & modules at the Jacksonville F135 DepotKey subject matter expert of the Operations discipline within a gated MR&O environmentEnsure workforce training and support tasks are being completed by the FRCSE in all aspects of MRO&U operationsResponsible for operational activities in execution of the program delivery performance requirementsCollaborates with the FRCSE and PW support functions in scheduling and sequencing of operations processes to ensure optimal use of resourcesCollaborate with FRCSE and Site Leader to ensure production priorities are communicated to FRCSE and PW onsite personnelFacilitate FRCSE training and execution of Depot capability expansion and workscope increases (Future FDC, Mini-Module, Nozzle, Augmentor, Back shop repairs, etc.)Provide oversight/monitoring of FRCSE production status. Participate in production status calls, determine functional support required and coordinate resolutions when process/system fails to meet program requirementsTrack and monitor work-stops and Andons requiring PW closureRoutinely present status of work-in-process and performance of Depot operations (DOME, DREP, Working Groups, and Business Review presentations to executives and customers)Proactively identify process improvement opportunities utilizing the CORE tools and principles to enhance quality, improve turnaround times and reduce risksMay include activities that cannot be attributed to a defined Operations disciplineBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business or a technical field8+ years of Operations experience in MRO&U Depot or back shop maintenanceUS Citizen due to government contractsMust be able to obtain all required work permits and other access requirements and maintain.Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with engine MRO Depot level maintenanceLean manufacturing experienceAbility to effectively collaborate with and influence multiple functional groups to reach a common objectiveDemonstrated experience in understanding and exceeding customer expectations in an MRO operations or production environmentExcellent communication skills; candidate must be comfortable providing briefings at all levels of managementAbility to influence decisions downstream and upstreamMust be willing to flex schedule to support business demands while on assignment to include working weekends and holidays.Please ensure the role type defined below is appropriate for your needs before applying to this role.
