Maintenance Technician – Vetra at St. Matthews | Louisville, KY

Vetra at St. Matthews is hiring a Turn Technician/Make-Ready Technician to help prepare apartments for new residents and keep the community looking its best. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in quality work, enjoys staying busy, and can handle a variety of maintenance and property needs.

What You'll Do

• Complete apartment turns and make-ready work to prepare homes for new residents
• Complete work orders and address resident maintenance requests
• Perform general repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and appliance repairs
• Maintain apartments, buildings, amenities, and common areas
• Pick up and maintain property grounds to keep the community clean and curb-appealing
• Assist with preventative maintenance and property inspections
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies
• Participate in the on-call rotation approximately every five weeks
• Respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies when scheduled
• Follow OSHA, EPA, Fair Housing, and company safety standards

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous apartment or multifamily maintenance experience preferred
• HVAC experience required; EPA Certification preferred
• Make-ready/turn experience strongly preferred
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable transportation and basic hand tools required
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to walk the property, climb stairs/ladders, bend, kneel, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Dependable and comfortable participating in a scheduled on-call rotation
