Compensation and Benefits The anticipated base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000 annually, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, construction accounting background, leadership capabilities, and proficiency with Trimble Vista. Benefits include: 401(k) plan with company match up to 4% Medical insurance Dental insurance Position Overview The Chief Financial Officer will have full responsibility for the financial health, accounting operations, reporting, cash management, forecasting, risk management, and administrative compliance functions across multiple operating companies. This person must be equally comfortable developing financial strategy, reviewing company performance with ownership, managing banking and insurance relationships, and ensuring that monthly reconciliations, payroll, billing, accounts payable, and financial reporting are completed accurately and on time. The successful candidate will bring structure, accountability, and visibility to a growing organization while developing the people, processes, systems, and controls required to support continued expansion. Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership and Strategy Serve as the senior financial leader and strategic partner to ownership and company executives. Provide clear financial analysis, forecasts, and recommendations to support operational and strategic decision-making. Develop annual budgets, financial forecasts, cash‑flow projections, and long‑term financial plans. Monitor company performance, margins, overhead, working capital, and profitability across multiple business entities. Identify financial risks, operational inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve profitability and cash flow. Support growth initiatives, capital investments, acquisitions, and expansion into new markets or service lines. Accounting and Financial Reporting Maintain accurate, timely, and complete financial records for multiple companies. Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Ensure balance‑sheet accounts are fully reconciled, documented, and supported. Produce consolidated and entity‑level financial statements, management reports, and operating dashboards. Maintain disciplined revenue recognition, job‑cost accounting, work‑in‑progress reporting, accruals, and intercompany accounting. Coordinate annual tax preparation, financial reviews, audits, and other outside accounting requirements. Maintain lender‑ready financial reporting and ensure compliance with loan covenants and reporting deadlines. Cash Flow, Banking, and Risk Management Manage cash flow, liquidity, borrowing availability, and short‑ and long‑term capital requirements. Oversee treasury functions, banking relationships, credit facilities, and financing arrangements. Monitor accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, billing, and vendor payment practices. Establish and maintain strong internal controls and appropriate separation of duties. Manage relationships with insurance brokers, auditors, tax professionals, lenders, bonding partners, and other financial advisors. Oversee insurance renewals, claims reporting, incident tracking, and required financial or operational reporting. Team Leadership and Delegation Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately five accounting and administrative professionals. Establish clear roles, performance expectations, deadlines, and accountability throughout the department. Delegate responsibilities effectively while maintaining appropriate oversight and quality control. Build repeatable processes, documented procedures, and reporting standards across all companies. Evaluate staffing needs and develop the department as the organization continues to grow. Create a culture focused on accuracy, ownership, communication, execution, and continuous improvement. Payroll and HR Compliance Administration This role will oversee the compliance and administrative portion of the human resources function, including: Payroll administration and payroll‑related reporting. Employee personnel files and required employment documentation. Workers’ compensation incident and claim tracking. Insurance reporting and coordination. Employee onboarding and separation documentation. Compliance with recordkeeping, payroll, benefits, and employment‑related reporting requirements. Coordination with outside legal, insurance, and benefits professionals when necessary. This position is not intended to serve as the organization’s culture or employee‑relations leader. The CFO will, however, be responsible for ensuring that the administrative, payroll, documentation, insurance, and compliance components of HR are complete, accurate, and consistently managed. Systems and Software Experience Significant hands‑on experience with Trimble construction software is required. Strong proficiency with Vista Viewpoint, which serves as the companies’ primary accounting and financial management platform. Ability to oversee and improve the use of Vista across general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, job costing, work‑in‑progress reporting, equipment, and financial reporting. Experience establishing consistent workflows, controls, reporting standards, and accountability within an ERP system. Ability to identify system gaps, improve data integrity, and ensure the organization is using Vista effectively as it continues to grow. Required Qualifications Prior experience as a Corporate Controller or comparable senior financial leader. Significant experience managing the complete accounting and financial reporting function for a complex or multi‑entity organization. Demonstrated experience using Vista Viewpoint in a construction or service‑based organization. Strong knowledge of monthly close procedures, balance‑sheet reconciliations, cash‑flow forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, and internal controls. Demonstrated experience leading and developing an accounting team. Ability to delegate effectively while maintaining accountability for accuracy and deadlines. Experience working in construction, contracting, field services, equipment‑intensive businesses, or similar industries. Strong understanding of job costing, work‑in‑progress reporting, project margins, billing, retainage, and construction‑related financial reporting. Experience overseeing payroll and administrative HR compliance functions. Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to owners, executives, operational leaders, lenders, and outside professionals. High degree of integrity, discretion, accountability, and professional judgment. Willingness and ability to work in the Las Vegas office on a full‑time basis. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant professional designation. Experience overseeing multiple companies, branches, or operating locations. Experience managing banking relationships, lines of credit, bonding, insurance, and financial covenant reporting. Experience supporting companies through periods of rapid growth, geographic expansion, and organizational change. What Success Looks Like Financial statements are accurate, timely, and dependable. Cash‑flow needs and financial risks are identified well in advance. Leadership has clear visibility into company, project, and departmental performance. The accounting team understands its responsibilities and consistently meets deadlines. Financial controls, reconciliations, documentation, and reporting are maintained without repeated executive intervention. Payroll, insurance, employee records, incidents, and claims are properly administered and tracked. The finance function scales effectively as the companies continue to grow within existing markets and expand into new ones. This is an opportunity to play a significant leadership role within a growing, entrepreneurial organization and to build the financial infrastructure required for its next stage of growth. #J-18808-Ljbffr
