Salary commensurate with experience* Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Senior Accountant with solid auditing experience.You will play a vital role in ensuring financial integrity and operational efficiency through accurate financial reporting, account reconciliations, and collaborative problem-solving. As part of the accounting team, you will prepare and analyze financial statements, create journal entries, perform account reconciliations, support audits, and contribute to process improvements. You'll work cross-functionally to translate business data into accurate financial reporting and help ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Duties Responsible for creating journal entries via interpreting business data and translating to accounting ledger dimensions Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and support decision-making processes. Perform reconciliations of accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner. Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Collaborate with accounting team to provide innovative approaches for continued improvement in process efficiency and effectiveness. Mandatory Qualifications 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a proven track record of accounting principles and regulations. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. 2+ years of Public accounting experience. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and ability to work with a high level of accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must have a positive, team-oriented attitude . Willing to be onsite for the first 90-days then hybrid with 8 days/month onsite in Schenectady N.Y.
