If so, we want you to join our team!The Accountant position is an entry level role perfect for a recent college graduate. The Accountant will be a key member of the Corporate Accounting team based out of corporate headquarters. As an Accountant you will have assigned responsibilities that are essential to our month end close process and ensuring accurate financial reporting across our North American businesses. This role will also provide support to other Accounting team members and department functions.Open to hybrid work schedules. One to three days in office. Hours: 8a-4:30p with a 30 min lunch. Reporting to the Malta office: 2111 Ellsworth Blvd., Malta, NY 12020Our Accountant's contributions to the team include:Completing monthly adjusting journal entries in conjunction with the month end accounting processCompleting monthly work in progress analysis and revenue recognition calculationsAssisting with monthly, quarterly and annual closings for multiple entities and lines of businessPreparing month end balance sheet reconciliationsCompleting various accounts receivable functions including posting vendor invoices to financial system and receiving proper approvals from businessCompleting various accounts payable functions including posting vendor invoices to financial system and receiving proper approvals from businessCompleting job costing entries for weekly/monthly expensesDeveloping and successfully implementing process improvement initiatives and automation to create efficiency within Accounting functionsRegularly communicating with team members, and any other stakeholders in the process, regarding project status and any issues that arise; provide suggested solutions, as applicableAssisting with data collection and analysis in support of ongoing accounting related projects aimed to improve accuracy of accounting dataThe core components of success are (i.e. must haves):Associate's degree in AccountingThe following are a definite plus, so if you've got it be sure to tell us!1 year of Accounting experience or internshipExperience with Intuit QuickBooksWe offer a culture filled with collaboration, passion, reliability, trustworthiness and more! Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
