Sr. Grants & Contracts Analyst

Requisition #: 666573 Location: Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 Category: Allied Health/Clinical Professional Schedule: Day Shift Employment Type: Full Time Position Summary The Senior Grants & Contracts Analyst will provide high‑quality, dedicated professional level sponsored funds management with specific responsibility for pre‑award and post‑award functions. The Analyst will also provide broad/in‑depth professional administrative guidance on protocols, regulations and guidelines to Principal Investigators and other scientific/research professionals. This position offers guidance and learning support to Grants & Contracts Analysts and Specialists within the department. Key Accountabilities Partner with and act as the final point of contact with faculty toward the planning and development of application submissions to various federal offices, private agencies/foundations and commercial companies. Review and/or prepare budgets and related budget justifications for appropriateness and completeness of content; provide groundwork for subcontract negotiations. Ensure compliance in all other areas related to grant and contract management, including sponsoring organization guidelines, internal protocols, accurate protocol information within grant documents, Uniform Guidance, conflicts of interest, etc. Manage related post‑award processes, including award setup, review, account setup verification, and ensuring that staff is set up appropriately. Ensure that post‑award responsibilities are completed, including budget distribution, account analysis and reconciliation, e‑form setup (if applicable), effort reporting, cost transfers, generating and paying invoices, and paperwork finalization related to subcontract setup. Oversee and direct all aspects of complex award management activities and provide oversight to other employees, including monitoring and managing accounts, audits, evaluations, and reporting. Key contributor in the annual research enterprise budgeting process in providing research expense data and reports. Qualifications A bachelor’s degree is required. Minimum of four years related experience in sponsored program activity (grants and contracts) and/or financial positions, preferably in an academic or medical setting, is required. Strong financial and analytical skills are required. Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and writing skills. Salary Range Minimum $27.85/hour – Maximum $44.57/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. The Hospital reserves the right to modify employee schedules as needed.
