To view positions currently available at Kinetico, click the button below.Job Description:Purpose: The Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records through timely completion of month-end close activities, account reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards (US GAAP). This role serves as a key contributor within the accounting function, partnering with cross-functional teams to provide financial insight, resolve accounting issues, and support continuous process improvement initiatives.Key Areas of Responsibilities:General Ledger & Month-End ClosePrepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries.Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities according to established deadlines.Maintain the integrity of the general ledger through accurate and timely transaction processing.Analyze financial results and investigate variances from budget, forecast, and prior periods.Support preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages.Account Reconciliations & AnalysisPerform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.Review and analyze income statement and balance sheet accounts for accuracy and completeness.Support working capital analysis, cash flow reporting, and financial trend analysis.Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.Compliance & ReportingSupport external audit requests.Assist with tax, regulatory, and statutory reporting requirements.Ensure adherence to US GAAP and corporate accounting policies.Maintain documentation supporting accounting transactions and financial reporting.Business PartnershipCollaborate with departments including Operations, HR, Supply Chain, and Finance to resolve accounting issues.Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities as needed.Process ImprovementIdentify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies.Participate in system implementations, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.Assist in enhancing internal controls and standardizing accounting procedures.Key Performance Indicators:Timeliness and accuracy of reportingSupport to management and other departmentsEffective analysis, recommendations, and decision-makingEffective continuous improvement efforts for processes and workflowsJob Knowledge, Skills, and Experience :Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA certified (or in progress)3-5 years of progressive accounting experienceExperience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.Experience in a multi-plant manufacturing companyExposure to Cost AccountingAdvanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.Experience with ERP systems (JDE, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI or similar).Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.Experience in a multi-plant manufacturing companyExposure to Cost AccountingOur Commitment and Difference:Founded in 1970, Kinetico was started by two engineers who pioneered the development of non-electric, fully automatic water treatment systems.
