Employment Type: Perm Job Number: 25809Remote Options: OnsiteJob DescriptionChief Financial Officer (CFO) Location: Scottsdale, AZ About the Opportunity Our client is seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and operations of a high-growth organization. This executive will serve as a trusted operating partner to the President and executive leadership team, providing financial insight, operational guidance, and candid perspective that supports sustainable growth, organizational scalability, and long-term business success. This opportunity requires more than traditional financial leadership. The ideal CFO will bring an owner's mindset, strong business acumen, high integrity, and a hands-on approach to helping the organization make better decisions and execute with greater speed and clarity. The CFO will oversee all aspects of the finance organization, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, reporting, treasury, risk management, and the development of scalable financial infrastructure. This role will also help prepare the organization for future capital market opportunities. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute financial strategies that support business growth, operational excellence, and long-term scalability.Serve as a trusted advisor and operating partner to executive leadership, providing candid financial insight, strategic recommendations, and decision support.Translate financial and operational data into clear, actionable information through dashboards, scorecards, reporting, and performance metrics.Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance reporting processes.Establish and maintain strong internal controls, financial policies, and enterprise risk management practices.Ensure compliance with GAAP, applicable regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standards.Oversee cash flow management, treasury functions, capital planning, and financial modeling.Develop strong visibility into business performance, including key operational drivers and unit economics.Support strategic initiatives including pricing, operational investments, vendor negotiations, and expansion opportunities.Partner cross-functionally with business leaders to improve accountability, financial visibility, and organizational performance.Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, banking partners, and other financial institutions.Drive continuous improvement across finance and accounting operations to increase efficiency, visibility, and scalability.Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team.Build scalable financial systems, processes, controls, and reporting capabilities to support continued organizational growth.Support future IPO or public-company readiness initiatives, including financial reporting, governance, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. Qualifications 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, including senior or executive-level responsibility.Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, corporate finance, FP&A, and business operations.Demonstrated experience leading budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, cash flow management, and treasury functions within a growing organization.Strong understanding of internal controls, compliance, financial risk management, and regulatory requirements.Ability to analyze complex financial and operational information and translate it into practical business recommendations.Demonstrated ability to build or improve dashboards, reporting, scorecards, and financial visibility for executive and operational leaders.Experience identifying operational efficiencies and implementing scalable processes and systems.Exceptional leadership, communication, listening, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Ability to respectfully challenge assumptions, surface risks early, and provide candid recommendations to senior leadership.Hands-on, adaptable leadership style with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment.High level of integrity, emotional maturity, sound judgment, and personal accountability.Experience supporting high-growth or rapidly evolving organizations strongly preferred.Exposure to IPO readiness, public-company finance, SOX compliance, or sophisticated financial reporting environments strongly preferred. Education & Credentials Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant professional credential preferred.
