About the Role We're looking for a Principal Frontend Engineer to own and evolve the systems that power VulnCheck's user-facing products. This is a hands-on role where you'll drive the direction of the product UI and collaborate closely with your teammates to shape how customers experience VulnCheck's intelligence. Although this is a 100% remote role, candidates must be located in Massachusetts, Maryland, or Greater Austin, TX. What You'll Do Own the product UI end-to-end: design, architecture, development, and continuous improvement Drive frontend direction—establishing patterns, component systems, and design standards Write clean, maintainable code across the stack (frontend-first, with backend context as needed) Partner closely with Product to translate requirements into polished user experiences Improve performance, accessibility, and reliability of customer-facing interfaces Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to frontend architecture decisions Debug and resolve production UI issues with durable, thoughtful solutions Mentor other engineers on frontend best practices and contribute to engineering culture Support Marketing and other teams across the company as relates to web frontend needs What You'll Bring 5+ years of experience building and shipping production web platforms Strong proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (Nuxt/Vue preferred) Full-stack competence—comfortable working across the codebase, backend experience a plus Experience owning a product UI or web property end-to-end Solid understanding of web performance, accessibility, and browser compatibility Ability to work closely with Product and translate visual direction into high-quality implementations Strong ownership mindset—you notice what's broken and fix it without being asked Clear communication and ability to collaborate cross-functionally Preferred Qualifications Experience in B2B SaaS or developer-facing products Familiarity with design systems or component library ownership Background in cybersecurity or technical data products Experience in high-growth or startup environments What We Offer We believe people do their best work when they feel supported, trusted, and valued.
