About the Role Senior Manager, Digital Product – RCM & Billing to lead development, management, and continuous improvement of internal billing systems and tools for core IHE services and new in‑home and virtual health services. This role balances strategy, subject‑matter expertise, and execution. You will define RCM and billing vision, conduct research, establish best practices, lead cross‑functional reviews, and execute a roadmap that balances new feature development, modernization of infrastructure, and production support. Responsibilities RCM & Billing Expertise: conduct research and consult with external experts, internal stakeholders, and clients to establish best practices and guidelines for new and existing services. Strategic Prioritization & Stakeholder Diplomacy: implement visible, data‑backed prioritization frameworks for billing products and manage competing demands from Finance, Client Success, Product peers, and executive stakeholders. Backend Modernization & Systems Architecture: craft a vision to shift legacy systems toward a faster, more cost‑effective, and transparent future model, modernizing aging infrastructure while maintaining critical cash flows. Cross‑Functional Influence & Upstream Accountability: collaborate with Coding, CDI, and clinical teams to drive data quality improvements at the source and influence upstream product teams to prioritize billing requirements. Financial Value Translation (ROI & Metrics): link KPIs such as Clean Claim Rates and Time to Bill to business impact, translating backend improvements into compelling business cases for leadership. Product Roadmap: define and maintain a 12‑36 month roadmap of RCM & billing service enhancements that balances user needs, business objectives, technical feasibility, and production support. What We’re Looking For 7+ years of experience in product development or product management within healthcare. Bachelor’s degree minimum; advanced degree preferred (business, finance, engineering, healthcare). Deep understanding of the RCM loop, including EDI 837/835 standards, ICD‑10 mapping, and other billing standards. Proven track record of modernizing aging infrastructures while maintaining critical operations. Expertise in optimizing APIs, SQL/Snowflake databases, and complex workflows to reduce manual touches and improve performance. Experience tracing downstream financial leakage or insurance rejections back to upstream data gaps or validation failures. Knowledge of healthcare market dynamics, value‑based care, and emerging care delivery models. Passion for innovation and building products that make a meaningful difference in healthcare. Strong analytical and creative thinking; ability to frame problems, synthesize insights, and propose solutions. Proficiency with product development concepts and tools (JIRA, Confluence, Figma, Lucid), agile methodologies, user journeys, and documentation. Strong understanding of user‑centered design principles and translating insights into action. Comfort with analyzing data and leading discovery efforts to validate opportunities. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to create clear narratives and influence stakeholders.
