Role Overview
  • Conduct evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using a blend of standardized assessments and observational methodologies.
  • Create tailored treatment strategies aimed at addressing short-term objectives while considering long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy, emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers, to ensure a seamless care journey.
  • Provide education to patients and families, empowering them to support progress outside of clinical interactions.
  • Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, reinforcing continuity of care throughout each patient's path to improvement.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
  • Engage in ongoing education to stay at the forefront of advancements in the field.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.
Certifications Required
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
