Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, ensuring a tailored approach to their treatment.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, focusing on their unique needs and preferred therapeutic goals.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ensuring that practices follow the best available research.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies, empowering them in their mental health journey.
• Regularly monitor clients’ progress and adapt treatment plans as needed, ensuring continual alignment with their evolving needs.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and additional healthcare professionals while maintaining integrated care practices, ensuring comprehensive support for clients.
• Document all client interactions, treatment plans, and assessments accurately and confidentially, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions to remain current on research and methodologies related to mood disorders.
• Advocate for the mental health needs of clients, working to de-stigmatize mood disorders both within the community and among individuals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on individuals affected by mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. You will engage with clients of varying ages and backgrounds, providing compassionate healthcare that is sensitive to their individual circumstances and promoting their overall emotional wellness.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of three years of relevant experience in a clinical mental health setting, particularly with a focus on mood disorders.
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including CBT and DBT.
• Current and valid licensure as a counselor in the state of Washington.
• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the interplay between therapy and medication management.
• Proficient communication skills, capable of building rapport with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an outpatient setting, ideally within a multidisciplinary team.
• A proven track record of successfully implementing treatment plans that lead to positive client outcomes in mood disorder management.
• Advanced understanding of latest mental health research to better inform clinical practices.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
