This role has great impact on the experience of our guests and all department team members.This part-time position is scheduled Saturday through Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with potential variation based on operational needs, including special events and facility rentals.Key Responsibilities:Clean all areas of the Museum: restrooms, floors, windows, exhibits and trash removalQuickly respond to the needs of guests and all department team membersDetermine and address safety concernsPrepare for special events, facility rentals and internal meetings including, but not limited to room set-up and teardownAssist with training new hires & cafe closing proceduresPrioritize customer service and assist guests while in public areas of the museumPerform other department related duties as assignedPreferred Qualifications & Competencies:Ability to be an effective team member and maintain a positive relationship with Museum guests and staffAbility to work under the pressure of tight deadlinesHigh level of accountability, punctuality and dependabilityAbility to manage time, prioritize responsibilities and problem solve when neededPhysical Qualification:Walk, crouch, bend and move continuously throughout the dayStand and walk for extended periods while performing cleaningNavigate tight and confined spaces, such as mechanical rooms or crawl spaces and ability to climb laddersLift and carry items up to 50 pounds and push, pull, or maneuver heavy tools, equipment and materialsSafely transport supplies across a variety of terrains and surfacesWork in a range of temperatures, including outdoor and non-climate controlled areasTolerate exposure to dust, dirt, and other airborne particlesUse standard building maintenance chemicals safely and regularlyCompensation :Qualifications and experience will be considered in the compensation for this position.Reasonable accommodations will be provided to qualified individuals in accordance with the applicable federal, state, and local law.
