Senior Accountant

DescriptionKforce has a client in Florham Park, NJ that is seeking a Senior Accountant.Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join a collaborative finance team. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while contributing to process improvements and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:* Manage daily accounting operations and maintain the integrity of the general ledger* Prepare and post journal entries and perform account reconciliations* Process vendor invoices, payments, and maintain vendor relationships* Reconcile bank accounts, initiate account transfers, and support cash management activities* Assist with cash forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning efforts* Create purchase orders and support purchasing activities* Review, reconcile, and process employee expense reports* Prepare annual 1099 reporting and related documentation* Support quarterly reviews and annual audits by preparing schedules and requested documentation* Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls while enhancing efficiency and accuracy* Partner with cross-functional teams to support business operations and financial reporting needs* Perform additional accounting and finance projects as assignedRequirements* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)* CPA designation or progress toward certification is required* Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles* Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel* *Experience with ERP systems; QuickBooks experience is a plus* Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment* Industry experience is a plus but not requiredJob TypeDirect HireCompensation90000 - $110000
