Senior Accountant Northern NJ
A growing organization is adding a Senior Accountant to its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys a blend of financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and strategic partnership with operational leadership. Prefer the public/ private experience!
In this role, you will be responsible for performing detailed balance sheet account reconciliations, preparing monthly journal entries and producing monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and key operating metrics
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly variance analyses
- Provide supporting documentation for annual audits and tax returns
- Help manage day-to-day accounting operations
- Regularly communicate with management regarding financial and strategic matters
- Participate in ad hoc committees and special projects
- Play a key role in the annual budgeting process for subsidiary locations while supporting the hospital's overall budget preparation
Qualifications
- Strong accounting and financial reporting experience
- Advanced analytical abilities
- Technical expertise to leverage financial systems and reporting tools- strong Excel
- Experience creating and modifying electronic report writers to support financial analysis
- Project management experience
- Evaluation of existing services and potential service line expansion
