We work hard, celebrate together, and strive to make a lasting, positive impact in everything we do.The OpportunityThe Project Manager, MEPF - Aviation reports to the Senior Project Manager and is responsible for managing the scope, schedule, cost, and operational interfaces of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEPF) systems across complex construction programs. This role supports delivery of large-scale infrastructure improvements focused on modernization, system reliability, operational efficiency, and safety. The position manages MEPF systems through design, construction, commissioning, and turnover, ensuring alignment with operational requirements and minimizing disruption to active facilities.What You Will Do – Essential ResponsibilitiesServe as primary technical liaison for MEPF systemsManage MEPF scope, schedule, and budget throughout design and constructionCoordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and controls systems integration (BAS/HVAC/life safety)Oversee design coordination, constructability reviews, and technical alignment with operational requirementsLead procurement and evaluation of consultants, contractors, and vendorsManage installation, testing, startup, commissioning, and turnover activitiesCoordinate shutdowns, tie-ins, and phased construction activities in active operational environmentsIdentify and resolve technical, constructability, and system integration issuesReview RFIs, submittals, and change proposalsTrack cost, schedule, and system performance metricsMaintain project documentation including testing, commissioning, and turnover recordsCoordinate with operations, maintenance teams, designers, and contractorsPrepare progress reports, executive updates, and technical readiness summariesEvaluate contractor performance and support pay application reviewSecondary ResponsibilitiesSupport stakeholder coordination across multidisciplinary teamsAssist in developing project reporting metrics and executive dashboardsParticipate in project meetings and maintain documentation of decisions and action itemsSupport field investigations and infrastructure assessments as neededPerform additional duties as required to support project deliveryMaintain professional development and industry knowledge in MEPF systems and construction practicesQualifications and RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (required)10+ years of experience in MEPF systems design and constructionExperience managing large-scale infrastructure projectsStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building systems integrationExperience with building automation systems (BAS), controls, and commissioning processesAbility to manage complex technical scopes in active operational environmentsExperience coordinating multidisciplinary project teamsStrong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and BIM coordination tools (Revit preferred)Professional certifications (PMP, PE, LEED, CCM, etc.) preferredGafcon PM-CM LLC reserves the right to periodically redefine your roles and responsibilities based on the requirements of the organization and/or your performance.
