Business Development Manager - Infrastructure (Northeast)

Job Overview Heavy travel position covering the Northeast and Mid‑Atlantic. The selected candidate will travel approximately 50% of the time or more and must reside within the territory. Responsibilities Become the expert: learn all Victaulic products and the various solutions we offer to help customers complete projects on time and within budget. Know the industry: understand grooved pipe‑joining methods and the competitive methods (welding, flanging), and stay current on construction cycles, major projects, market trends, and competitor activity. Understand the business: work with a Regional Sales Manager to develop a business plan, opportunity mapping, sales goals, product promotion plans, and strategies to maximize sales potential; execute all phases of project pursuit and project management from inception through commissioning and after‑sale follow‑up. Build strong relationships: develop and maintain trust with mechanical contractors, engineers, and project owners; attend clients’ events beyond normal business hours and partner with Victaulic distributors to manage a balanced distribution network. Educate and influence: conduct product demos and training sessions on job sites, present lunch‑and‑learn sessions, and actively educate customers on the overall value of Victaulic products. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred. Previous sales experience selling value‑added products/services in commercial construction, PVF (pipes, valves, fittings), or mechanical products. Demonstrated sales achievements and a history of developing long‑standing relationships. Strong problem‑solving, organizational, time‑management, and project‑management skills. Self‑motivated, self‑driven, and able to work remotely with minimal supervision. Excellent presentation skills and ability to deliver technical messages. Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time and tolerate adverse weather conditions and heavy equipment handling.
