Production Associate 1st Shift

Job Details 1st Shift: 6AM-4:30PM Monday - Thursday Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour Duties and Responsibilities The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows in a manufacturing environment. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast‑paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments. Performs repetitive workstation operations to mass‑produce windows, doors, and glass units; may support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows. Must work safely. Performs any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers. Understands and carries out oral instructions; reads and carries out simple written instructions. Reads work orders, labels, and schedules; uses a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview). Inspects, examines, and observes for product defects; makes fraction and decimal conversions. Operates any equipment needed to perform the job. Provides on‑the‑job training to new employees. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be at least 18 years of age to apply. Knowledge of manual dexterity required for operating machinery. Must be a "team player"; this job requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and written or oral instructions. Mental/Physical/Visual demands: standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; turning or twisting; pushing; talking or hearing. Must repetitively lift, push, and/or move 50 pounds unassisted. Must pass a background check. Working conditions: average plant temperature 60–100°F; all workstations require protective eyewear, hearing protection, and safety‑toe/metatarsal shoes; some require additional PPE such as gloves, arm guards, or leather aprons. Safety: perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner per Health and Safety Manuals; wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable; immediately report unsafe working conditions.
