Purchasing Agent Details: Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pay Rate: $19–$27/hour Contract-to-Hire Opportunity Purchasing Agent Responsibilities: Work closely with Project Teams and internal Purchasing personnel to support procurement needs Research, compare, and select suppliers based on pricing, quality, availability, and delivery timelines Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors Prepare and process purchase orders, track shipments, and resolve vendor issues Maintain detailed purchasing records, including quotes, order history, and vendor communications Process material returns (RMAs) and ensure timely vendor follow-up Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support ongoing business needs Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and procurement standards Purchasing Agent Requirements: Previous purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience required Experience purchasing electrical, metal, industrial, or manufacturing materials preferred Working knowledge of electrical materials strongly preferred Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Mechanically inclined with the ability to understand technical products and specifications Team-oriented with strong attention to detail and organizational skills PeopleShare is the leading Staffing Agency in the region and has temporary to hire and permanent jobs across 8 states.
