Medical Receptionist

*Medical Receptionist - Family Medicine*
*Key Responsibilities*

* Check patients in and out
* Collect insurance information, co-pays, and balances
* Answer high-volume calls regarding scheduling, refills, and patient inquiries
* Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments
* Verify insurance eligibility prior to appointments
* Manage patient portal requests and front-office administrative tasks
* Complete assigned tasks within established turnaround times
*Required Qualifications*

* 1+ year of medical receptionist, front desk, or patient registration experience
* Experience using an EMR system (Epic preferred)
* Phone scheduling experience
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Knowledge of insurance verification and eligibility
*Work Environment*

* Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
* High-volume practice averaging 100 patients per day
* Fast-paced setting requiring multitasking and attention to detail

*Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Portsmouth, VA.
*Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
