Director, Digital Quality

Gilead Sciences seeks a Director of Digital Quality to establish global strategy and governance for digital transformation within quality operations. The role encompasses process optimization, technology assessment, implementation leadership, and capability development across a highly regulated biopharmaceutical environment.
Responsibilities
- Define global Digital Quality strategy, roadmap, capability model, and multi-year vision with measurable outcomes
- Map current and future-state quality processes across sites and regions; identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and digitize
- Establish intake and assessment methods for digital tools; evaluate business value, regulatory impact, and technical feasibility
- Design governance frameworks, decision rights, stage gates, and risk-based assurance for Digital Quality portfolio
- Lead implementation, adoption, and value realization; manage stakeholder engagement, training, and performance monitoring
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus 10+ years in digital quality, quality systems, or digital transformation
- Experience in biopharmaceutical, medical device, or regulated life-sciences industry
- Demonstrated success defining and delivering global digital programs across multiple functions and regions
- Proficiency in process mapping, value-stream analysis, requirements definition, and fit-gap assessment
- Experience evaluating and implementing digital platforms, SaaS, workflow automation, analytics, and AI tools
- Knowledge of risk-based computer system validation, electronic records, signatures, and data integrity controls
