Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a compact state, in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required; travel RN experience accepted
• Minimum 18 months of combined recent experience in the specialty
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong telemetry interpretation, rhythm recognition, and acute care assessment skills
• Manager, ANM, supervisor, or director reference in the specialty from the past 12 months
• Ability to work at least every other holiday
• Comfort completing orientation assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication practices

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients with a variety of medical and surgical needs
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Deliver safe, efficient bedside care for patients who may require higher-acuity monitoring
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Float to like patient populations as needed to support hospital coverage and patient flow
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold best practices in patient safety, quality care, and clinical standards
• Adapt to rotating shift needs while contributing to a reliable, team-oriented acute care environment
