About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg Tele Duration: 20 weeks (Winter coverage) Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: 18 months combined permanent experience in specialty required Preferably within the same location License: Permanent state license or compact state license required Certifications: Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Must-Have: Must work every other holiday ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment required during orientation An acceptable score on both assessments is necessary Travelers must confirm weekend availability at submission Description: Registered Nurse position in a Med/Surg Tele unit. Potential to float to other units for same patient population care. Seeking candidates for winter coverage with consideration for 13 weeks as well. Day shift required, working three 12-hour shifts on weekends only. Candidates must have 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience. Travel experience will be considered. All required certifications must be current and in hand at the time of submission. References from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty required. Background checks will be conducted, and any open cases will impact eligibility. Candidates are exempt from certain nicotine-free requirements. Negative 10 Panel + Nicotine drug screen required within 12 months of start. Compliance with time-sensitive background check procedures is necessary. Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 months with conditions for return. Modules are required and progress is monitored.
