Job Description
Exciting Neuro Stepdown Nursing Opportunity!

Job Description:


- Join a dynamic team as a traveler in a Neuro Stepdown unit.
- Night Shift: 3x12-Hour - 18:45 to 07:15.
- Minimum of 2 years of Neuro experience required; first-time travelers not accepted.
- Must demonstrate teamwork and meet behavioral expectations in all interactions with patients and staff.
- Adhere to strict call-off policy; enforced rigorously.

Key Skills & Certifications Required:


- Experience:
- Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown & Telemetry.
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
- Medical procedures including aneurysms, CVA, and post-neurosurgery care.

- Technical Skills:
- Titration of LEVO and insulin drips.
- IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line management.
- Expertise in respiratory management including BiPAP/CPAP and ventilator care.

- Medications:
- Knowledge of heparin protocols, PCA, and thrombolytic agents.


- Requirements:
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are mandatory.
- EPIC experience is a must.

Unit Details:


- Patient Ratio: 1:4, with a maximum daily census of 24 patients.
- Minimum of 3 weekend shifts every six weeks.
- Orientation includes 32 hours of training with a computer class and two shifts on the unit.
