Staff Accountant

LHH is partnered with an excellent organization to find a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end close and reporting processes. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and eager to grow within a collaborative finance environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed. Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports. Help ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies. Participate in audits and provide supporting documentation as requested. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 1–3 years of accounting experience; internship experience considered. Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP). Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
