We are looking for a Staff or Senior Accountant who shares our passion for our products, our desire for continued growth, and our commitment to build more meaningful relationships founded on trust and integrity.Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in sales tax compliance, internal billing and general accounting functions. This role will be instrumental in ensuring efficient billing processes across various departments and serve as a backup to our sales tax accountant. Prior experience in a mid- to large-sized corporate environment is highly preferred.ResponsibilitiesSales Tax & Compliance (Backup)Prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns, ensuring full compliance with state and local regulations.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing sales tax laws and regulations across jurisdictions.Assist with sales tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.Reconcile sales tax general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy in tax accruals.Internal BillingReview and post internal repair orders.Review and verify billing data for accuracy and completeness.Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes by working closely with internal teams.Prepare and analyze billing reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.Assist in the development and implementation of billing policies and procedures.Perform monthly audit of retail invoices posted by branches.General AccountingAssist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.Support external audit requests and prepare documentation as needed.Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and corporate procedures.Contribute to process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives within the accounting team.BenefitsCompetitive PayMedical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance401k with company matchPaid Time OffTraining & Professional DevelopmentPositive and productive work environmentQualificationsQualificationsMinimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a mid- to large-sized company required.Strong experience in multi-state sales and use tax compliance and filings.Proficiency in internal billing or intercompany billing processes.Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.Proficient with Excel.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work overtime at month endAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
