Accounting Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator to support daily accounting and financial operations for a company in West Columbia, SC. This role is responsible for reconciling cash and investment accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies, assisting with financial reporting, and preparing regulatory filings. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working with large volumes of financial data in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and weekly cash and investment account reconciliations.
• Research and resolve out-of-balance entries and account discrepancies.
• Investigate variances and collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and submit various government and regulatory filings.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end accounting processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve reconciliation and reporting processes.
• Assist with ad hoc accounting and finance projects as needed.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required
• 1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, banking operations, finance, or related experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Salary: $45,000-$50,000 annually
