Tender Care - Gleneagle is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to provide compassionate, patient-focused support in an onsite clinic environment in Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Summary

The Veterinary Assistant supports licensed veterinary professionals by assisting with patient care, preparing exam and treatment areas, and maintaining a calm, welcoming experience for clients and their pets. This role is essential to keeping daily clinic operations organized, safe, and efficient.

In this position, you will help ensure that animals are handled humanely, clinical spaces are kept clean, and basic care tasks are completed accurately under the direction of the veterinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist veterinary staff with routine patient care tasks before, during, and after appointments

• Prepare and sanitize exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment according to clinic standards

• Support medical procedures by performing basic, delegated tasks and maintaining patient comfort

• Monitor and assist animals throughout their visit, ensuring safe handling and proper restraint as needed

• Provide attentive customer service by answering basic questions and supporting a positive client experience

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work onsite in Colorado Springs, CO on a full-time basis

• Comfort working with animals and maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow direction and protocols consistently

• Excellent interpersonal skills with clients and the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully

• Ability to support a fast-paced clinic environment while maintaining professionalism

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a veterinary clinic, animal care setting, or related customer service role

• Knowledge of basic animal handling and patient care best practices

• Familiarity with clinic workflows such as scheduling support, basic inventory awareness, and room turnover

• Demonstrated reliability, teamwork, and a compassionate approach to animal welfare

Compensation

Hourly rate: $17.00
