Job Details Job Location: HOUSTON, TX 77054 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Travel Percentage: Negligible Job Shift: Day Job Category: Nonprofit - Social Services As the Bilingual Case Manager- Economic Empowerment Services is responsible for providing comprehensive support with a focus on financial and career services. Will assist clients in overcoming immediate economic barriers and securing long-term financial independence and safety by utilizing one on one financial empowerment services and a broad range of community services. Your Schedule Tue, Wed, & Friday: 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Mon & Thursday: 11:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. One Saturday per month: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (will flex a day) Work Model: 100% Onsite Local Travel: 25% Our Total Rewards Package Hourly Compensation:$21.63 Pay Schedule: Semi-monthly Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability Insurance Time Away From Work Program, including: Vacation Leave based on relevant professional experience (15–30 days annually for full-time employees; prorated for eligible part-time employees) Sick Leave (112 hours annually for full-time employees; prorated for eligible part-time employees) Eleven (11) Paid Agency Holidays for eligible employees who are regularly scheduled to work on the observed holiday 401(k) Retirement Plan with a 125% employer match on employee contributions up to 4% of annual earnings for eligible full-time employees after one year of service **Vacation and sick leave eligibility, accruals, usage, rollover limits, holiday eligibility, and all benefit programs are administered in accordance with HAWC policies and applicable plan documents. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, Education, Criminal Justice or related field OR In lieu of a degree, a high school diploma or equivalent and four additional years of directly related experience A minimum of one year’s experience in Case Management, Career Counseling, Workforce Development or similar in social services settings. Bilingual in both English and Spanish, able to read, speak, and write both languages fluently Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams Texas driver’s license with a good driving record; ability to travel to off-site locations utilizing 15 passenger Agency van, if applicable What you Deliver in this role Provide one-on-one coaching to help clients understand their current financial needs and develop goals toward economic empowerment (increasing income, managing debt, improving career opportunities, building savings, and acquiring assets), including but not limited to: Assessing needs Setting goals/prioritizing Connecting clients to community resources and assisting them in accessing services Connecting clients to internal resources (trauma support, legal services, housing, etc.) Building financial knowledge and life skills Supporting long-term stability through savings plans, housing, and other sustainable resources You will learn and facilitate the Allstate Foundation Moving Ahead curriculum through financial capability and career empowerment education. You will provide group workshops and individual case management support to clients in person or remotely at OSPH or any assigned HAWC work location or service hub. Develop relationships with community organizations and strengthen existing partnerships to support clients in achieving their goals, including financial capability, employment readiness, vocational training, higher education opportunities, financial coaching, employment coaching, and tax preparation resources. Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development activities. Track client outcomes, success stories, and program performance through accurate documentation and reporting. Perform all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with OSHA where applicable. Mandatory Reporting: Report on a suspected and prior abuse/neglect of children and/or the elderly to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services child or elder abuse to DFPS.
