Affluent Personal Lines Account Executive (remote)

Job Title

NFP, an Aon company, is seeking a professional to join their Long Island-South Hampton, NY Office. This role offers the flexibility of a remote option for experienced candidates servicing Personal Risk/HNW clients.

Job Description

The role involves interacting with clients daily, creating and maintaining relationships with both client and carrier representatives. You will prepare applications, specifications, and marketing strategies for new business and renewals with little direct supervision. You will serve as the lead consultant and primary point of contact for clients, working on large, complex accounts with large premiums and multifaceted coverages. Experience writing/servicing policies in NY is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and clients through regular contact and client visits. Keep clients informed of appropriate industry trends and events, including all state and federal regulatory issues. Negotiate terms, conditions, coverage limits, and pricing with carriers and wholesalers. Work with the Claims Department on relevant claims for assigned clients. Ensure accurate information such as updated exposures, driver information, reporting forms, signed endorsements, and miscellaneous information to avoid any E&O claims. Maintain a follow-up system to ensure policies, endorsements, and other information are received to comply with requests. Direct the daily job activities of Coordinators and Account Managers.

Excellent written communication skills writes clearly; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; presents numeric data effectively; able to read and interpret written information. Be a self-starter and self-confident to make sound independent decisions. Ability to successfully interact with a variety of people/personalities. Strong negotiation and leadership skills. Possess technical expertise plus good analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle situations in a calm, courteous, and professional manner. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines while applying a sharp attention to detail, decision-making, and problem resolution. Ability to meet/travel with clients and prospects when required (minimal regional travel expected with obtained approval for expense coverage). Able to work overtime as necessary.

Education and/or Experience

Experience with writing/servicing policies in NY. Typically, more than 7 years of industry and product line experience which includes servicing Personal Lines/PCG coverage experience required. Familiarity with major markets, such as AIG, Chubb/ACE, Cincinnati, Berkley One, and PURE. Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel. CRM experience required. EPIC experience is highly desired. BA/BS preferred. High School diploma or equivalent is required with additional training or education. Property & Casualty Broker's License required upon hire. CIC, CPCU, or other P&C designation preferred.

The base salary range for this position is $70,000 $90,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
