You've carried a bag. You've sat across from a skeptical buyer with a real budget and every reason to say no, and you've earned the yes anyway. You know how to build trust with someone who didn't ask to meet you.

Now imagine doing that work for a family sitting at your conference table who did ask to meet you - who saw our television show or came to a dinner seminar and raised their own hand to request a Peace of Mind visit. No cold calls. No territory to grind. No gatekeepers. And what you're selling is comprehensive, holistic retirement planning, including extensive tax strategy planning, that will still be working for that family twenty years from now.

If you've had success in pharmaceutical, medical device, insurance, financial, or technical sales, the part of this job that can't be taught is the part you already have. The rarest thing in this business isn't technical knowledge. It's a person who can sit with a sixty-two-year-old couple, understand what they're actually afraid of, and earn their confidence. The technical part we teach, because we have a proven process and we'll expect you to take your instinct for selling and couple it with our proven process to achieve predictable sales results.

WealthCare Retirement Solutions has grown by eight times (8x) over the last four years. We manage about $300 million and we'll add roughly $100 million over the next year. We have 20 current employees in our Springfield headquarters, and a desire to grow to Joplin, Branson/Harrison, Northwest Arkansas, Lebanon, Rolla, Lake of the Ozarks, Jefferson City and Columbia. We are not replacing someone who's leaving - we're adding advisors because we cannot keep up with our own growth, and we pay the people who help us grow.

The role

•     Comprehensive retirement planning using our trademarked Six Steps to Retirement Confidence process: retirement income, protected principal, tax elimination strategy, long-term care and Medicare planning, legacy planning, and annual strategy and tactics tweaking. Business exit planning as a separate strategy for business owner clients.

•     A relational, proven onboarding process that runs about six months, not one-and-done

•     Some existing clients may be handed to you to manage, but mostly it's about onboarding growth.

•     You'll manage your own clients with an assigned service associate. Compensation is tied to performance - the more you onboard, the more you earn.

•     An educational workshop you teach a couple of evenings a month

•     Salary plus production pay. Our second year advisors not yet 30 years old are tracking at above $150,000 and should end the year in the range of $175,000. A more mature and experienced sales advisor might achieve more. Our top producing advisor is in his 60s.

WealthCare is an ecosystem rather than a single firm: an RIA, an insurance agency, and a tax compliance firm under one roof. Income planning, tax planning, asset protection, long-term care, Social Security timing elections, Medicare solutions, estate planning, legacy enhancement and tax compliance filing all live in the same building. When your client has a tax question, the answer is down the hall.

Being honest about the first year

You'll be learning while you're producing. There's licensing to pass and a planning process to absorb, and you'll feel like a beginner in a way you probably haven't felt in years. Most experienced salespeople find that harder than the selling. The ones who make it are the ones who were genuinely willing to be taught. If that's you, tell us about a time you had to learn something from scratch as an adult.

What kind of place this is

We tend to be politically conservative, and we aren't afraid to live out our faith in the marketplace. We pray for our clients, and really do love them outwardly and expressively. Our six core values are written down and the first one is "It's about the people who depend on us." We hire on three things: chemistry, character and competence.

Springfield and Joplin sit at the front door of some of the best fishing, hunting, and lake country in the middle of America. Branson is down the road. Your commute is fifteen minutes and rush hour isn't really a thing here. If you've been sitting on 435 or 270 thinking there has to be a better arrangement, there is.

Licensing

You'll need the Series 65 and your state life and health insurance license. We reimburse your licensing costs once you pass.

Our hiring process is deliberate and slow on purpose. It includes a brief psychological profile and a written exercise on our core values. Don't apply if you aren't willing to go through the process starting with about 25 minutes on the psychological profile. We know who fits, and we want to uncover that first.
