HR GENERALIST

Description The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. Responsible for the day-to-day management of personnel, communications, policy administration, onboarding new staff, and enforcing company policies and practices. Job Type Full-time Requirements Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance. Assist in administering compensation, benefit and employee performance plans. Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications. Works with operations to resolve employee relations issues. Investigates, counsels, and assists in resolving disputes, and disciplinary matters. Manage inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Supports the development and administration of programs, policies, and processes to facilitate employee and organizational development. May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations. Ensure legal compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Competencies Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to be solutions and strategic minded. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems. Paylocity experience preferred. DISA experience preferred. Required Experience & Education Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. PHR or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred. If you have a degree: Proven experience as an HR Generalist for a minimum of 1 year. Experience of 5 years+ in HR with full life cycle management will be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times. Offered Benefits Salary: 60,000 - 70,000 USD Gross Annual. 401(k).
