Job Responsibilities

• Create Customized Treatment Plans: Assess individual patient needs and formulate specialized therapy approaches to help them achieve their personal goals.
• Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply research-based methods to improve patients' motor functions, cognitive abilities, and daily activities.
• Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work hand-in-hand with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, doctors, and nurses to provide comprehensive, all-encompassing care.
• Educate Patients and Families: Provide guidance and training to patients and caregivers on therapy practices that promote progress at home.
• Document Patient Progress: Monitor clinical outcomes and adjust treatment plans as necessary to keep patients on track toward their goals.

Education Requirements

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Continued education or additional certifications encouraged and supported

Licensing and Certifications

• Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license required
• NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification mandatory
