Junior Accountant
Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a detail-oriented Junior Accountant. In this dynamic and rewarding role, you will be responsible for supporting key financial operations, gaining hands-on cost accounting experience, and collaborating directly with cross-functional teams.
In a Junior Accountant job you'll be responsible for:
- Recording and reconciling daily transactions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
- Supporting inventory costing, cycle counts, cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations, and variance analysis.
- Reconciling bank statements and vendor accounts while tracking fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
- Assisting with sales tax filings, compliance reporting, and internal/external audit documentation.
- Collaborating with production and procurement teams to resolve cost-related inquiries.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 02 years of related experience (including internships).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Familiarity with cost accounting, a manufacturing environment, or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Dynamics 365) is a plus.
- Progress toward CPA certification is preferred.
