Welder Helper & Fitter Welder – 1st & 2nd Shift | Temp-to-Hire
Decatur, AL
Pay: $18.00–$25.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

We are hiring for two welding positions with a leading manufacturing company near Decatur, AL.
1. Welder Helper
Pay: $18.00–$19.00/hr
Responsibilities:
- Assist welders with material handling and assembly.
- Lift, carry, and position parts for welding.
- Follow work instructions and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Reading blueprints is a plus.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Strong attendance and work ethic.
- Steel-toe boots required.
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
- Must communicate effectively in English.
2. Fitter Welder
Pay: $25.00/hr
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
- Perform MIG welding and fit-up operations.
- Align, clamp, tack, and weld components according to specifications.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections using measuring tools.
- Use hand and power tools safely.
- Complete production paperwork and maintain quality standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of fitter/tack welding experience.
- Proficient in MIG welding.
- Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.
- Must pass an internal welding test.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Steel-toe boots required.
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
- Must communicate effectively in English.
Schedule
- 1st & 2nd Shift Opportunities Available
