Material Planner

One of our large aircraft manufacturing suppliers is seeking a Material Planner to join their team. This is a permanent, direct hire opportunity. Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, drive the improvement agenda. Develop monthly Production Plan based on Demand input and Capacity situation. Establish and maintain a weekly master production schedule to support Production Plan Help define and maintain S&OP KPIs and metrics to support continuous improvement. Distribute work orders and assist department personnel in obtaining items (drawings, parts, etc.) necessary to complete job operations and job material transactions. Participate in cross-functional team meetings to support business initiatives, adjust plans accordingly and communicate supply chain issues and recommendations for resolution. Review and maintain master data for legacy and new products for proper planning. Communicate shortages to appropriate departments and make recommendations. Manage running action and issues list, drive issues to closure on a timely basis.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years experience as a material planner or production planner in a manufacturing environment -Experience maintaining production plans, material availability, and aligning with capacity
- Strong experience running shortage reports and managing the master planning schedule
- Experience with ERP systems and excel -Bachelor's degree
