TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Neuro ICU RN in Indianapolis, Indiana, 46237!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Neuro ICU experience Comprehensive assessment skills Care of hemodynamically unstable patients Care of mechanically ventilated patients Thorough neurological assessment skills Description: EKG test is required. This position is for the Neuro Critical Care unit. There is one opening for this role. The shift hours are from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Weekly guaranteed hours are 36. Weekend commitment is required every other weekend. Call requirements are not applicable. Floating to other inpatient areas is required when the home unit has low census. The unit has 30 beds. Patient ratios are 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3. Equipment used includes Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, EV 1000, and Neuroptics Pupillometer. The electronic medical record system in use is Epic. The type of patients on the unit includes those with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, post-operative craniotomy, seizures, encephalopathy, and neurological tumors. The ideal candidate should be a team player, have a positive attitude, be flexible, and be empathetic. The dress code requires navy scrubs. Hoodies are not acceptable attire. The first day includes several modules and Epic training if needed, along with one day of orientation in the unit.
